Preparing for a future shaped by powerful AI
A student group preparing for the catastrophic risks of frontier AI — through talks, fellowships, and career support.
About us
UTokyo AI Safety is a student organization at the University of Tokyo. We think the pace of frontier AI development may be outrunning our ability to make it safe — and that this matters, potentially catastrophically, if left unaddressed.
Our goal is to raise awareness of these risks on campus, and to help students who want to contribute — through research, policy, or industry — find a path in.
We're a new club with more to share soon — our first speaker event and fellowship both launch this October.
